For my future...

Why do I want to do the program?

Getting free access to the parks whenever I want is NOT the main reason why I wanna do this, although it is a very, very big plus (:
The main reason is to experience living on my own and being independent, like having to pay for my own things and cook my own food. Also, for the opportunities it can open up for me. I am still not sure what I want to major in and so hopefully after taking some classes at Disney University, I will get some new ideas on what I see myself doing... It will also benefit me when I come home because the new Disney hotel, Aulani, will be opening next November and they will be having interviews up at Disneyworld for the CP's interested and doing the program... No doubt will we have a greater advantage, because we will already know how Disney operates! I hope I get a job there because that would be a more mature job then the one I have now (:

Official.

This is our availability card at work! Haha, don't mind the mess... or the big Kitten. The kitchen boys are trouble makers :P

Today I talked to my manager and told her about the program. She said it'd be a great opportunity and that when I get back, I can always go back to work. I think I will have to take her up on that offer, just for the summer anyways (= But I am gonna be really sad... I know I'm gonna cry on my last day. This was my first job and I have become so attached to all my co-workers. In fact, I think we're more than co-workers, we're a family. I will miss them so much! They truly made my job 10000000000x BETTER, I love them♥

I can stop being paranoid about what to wear!

I am in the process of going through my clothes (but I stopped to take a break and write this, haha) and I realized like, OMG I have so many business attire... well a lot of appropriate business blouses. I do not however have any slacks or the right shoes to wear. I can borrow one of my Aunty's bottoms though and I will be on the lookout for the correct shoes! My Aunty said she knows the kinds I need and she kind of explained it to me, so I'll be fine. I also realize I have many clothes for the cold weather (because I get cold easily) and my Aunty them are buying me more for Christmas... and of course I have clothes for the warmth because helllloooo, I only live in HAWAII! (=

I can't wait until I finally have to start packing. Aye, I don't know how I am going to fit everything in only two bags ;/

Change of plans?

The original plans to Florida was supposed to be that my uncle was gonna come with me so he could get me "situated" and we could have a rent-a-car and most importantly- so we could watch the Orlando Magic vs. the Miami Heat. The game is on February 3. I still want this to be the plans because I really, really, REALLY wanna watch that game. It would be a dream come true for me to see LeBron James play. I really do love him(; Anyway... I don't think this is gonna be the case because my Uncle is a procrastinator, always does things last minute, and is not very reliable, so I am taking the initiative as if I am going alone. Therefore I went to view flights and costs and I even checked out the Florida airport to find directions and if it would be difficult for me to find baggage claim and the shuttles and all that good stuff.

This is the map they gave. Psh, like that is even helpful -_- Luckily, they had a video with specific directions on how to get everywhere so I am pretty confident that if worse comes to worse, I will be okay going alone (:

Every Character Has A Story?

Being me, because I google everything, I googled WDWCP reviews and out popped a blog called "Working for the Mouse." With such an adorable name, I read most, if not all of his posts. I came across a very special post called "A picture can say a thousand words". This was a very inspiring post and made me excited to go and experience the magic for myself. It talked about how Disney has those magical lines like "Where dreams come true" and "Where the incredible happens everyday." Well inspired by this, he and his friends created one based on the 60,000+ cast members that work there making all the magic happen. They came up with, Every Character Has A Story. You know how everybody has their own story? So does every employee of the WDW. And I thought to myself this would be the perfect name for my blog because this is MY STORY, AS A CAST MEMBER AS WALT DISNEY WORLD.
